Travel Photography

I love to travel! I have done quite a bit of travelling this past year. I got married in April 2010 and the travelling began last summer when my husband (Pardeep) and I went on our honeymoon. He is a great person to travel with not only because we always have a great time anywhere we go, but especially because he carries around my camera bag for me and he is very patient while I take photos! He is like my personal assistant, in return I have become his personal photographer. It works out quite well! So here are some photos of the beautiful places we have visited over the past year!

Ashley + Phil || Couples Photography

The Olympic Village is such a beautiful place to go and just walk around. It is also a great location for a photo shoot, especially for Ashley and Phil because it is the home of their first apartment. Ashley is a good friend of mine from high school. I met Ashley and her boyfriend Phil last week for their photo shoot at the Olympic Village. Ashley said that I had my work cut out because her and Phil were not photogenic together. I have to say that she was definitely wrong about that because they are super cute together and there were so many great photos I had a hard time narrowing them down. These two were so much fun to photograph. Before starting Ashley told me that Phil had some ideas and I was excited to see what those ideas were. It was hard to focus on capturing the moment at times because I was laughing so much! Phil and Ashley were being silly together (well more Phil than Ashley but she did join in at times) and this made the photo session even more amusing and some of Phil's poses and ideas really made me laugh a lot! Angela + Raj || Couple Photography

Angela is a good friend of mine and I have known her since we started high school which seems like a very long time ago. Raj is Angela's boyfriend and they were kind enough to be the subjects of my first couples portrait session. I have seen some beautiful portraits done at Granville Island and thought that would be an awesome place for their session. I met the two of them there and Raj was wondering how he got suckered into doing this. This gave me the impression that Raj was a little camera shy. But other than bugging him about having his eyes closed for a few shots he was pretty photogenic. They both looked great and I had fun with the two of them. Angela was all for trying different poses which made it even more fun!
